So, why the hell are our beans in a plastic bottle?
Well, it’s not just any plastic bottle.
It’s a reason to tidy up, pot your plants, organise your things or simply fill it with coffee again. More importantly, it is an excuse to think a little more consciously about the things we consume and what happens to them afterwards.
Our idea is simple: enjoy more coffee, waste less, and give the packaging more than one life.
The perfect package
doesn’t exist. Yet.
When we started looking for a sustainable packaging solution, we had a fairly demanding list of requirements. It needed to protect the coffee properly, minimise waste, be recyclable, have a sensible CO₂ impact and still look and feel like something we would actually want to use.
We quickly realised that the ideal solution simply does not exist. Every material comes with a compromise somewhere.
Plastic has an understandably negative reputation, but we came to agree with the idea that plastic itself is not necessarily the whole problem. How it is produced, used and disposed of matters just as much.
Certain plastics can offer useful advantages when they are treated as durable materials rather than disposable ones. That led us to PET packaging that can be reused by us and by our customers, giving each container multiple lives before it eventually enters the recycling stream.

It does not break easily, which makes it suitable for repeated use.
Lightweight
Lower weight means less material to transport compared with heavier packaging alternatives.
Reusable
Refill it with coffee or repurpose it around the house instead of immediately throwing it away.
Recyclable
PET is one of the most commonly recycled plastics and can enter established recycling streams once its useful life is over.
Keeps coffee fresh
Protecting the beans properly remains essential. Packaging only works if the coffee inside still tastes the way it should.
And yes, it looks cool
Sustainability matters, but we still think good packaging should be enjoyable to use and look good on your shelf.
